This Easter we decided to stay in town due to our son's soccer game instead of going to visit family as we usually do. Our wonderful friends the Grodack's invited us to lunch with their family for Easter and we happily accepted. There was a wonderfully exciting Easter Egg hunt for the kids and yummy food for everyone. I asked what I could bring and offered up dessert of course! I figured since I had been making so much Easter stuff in the weeks past I would go a more spring route and make some Mum cupcakes. Hope you enjoy I know we did!!

Elmo's World
Its a Royal Wedding Afair!
Well unless you live under a rock you know that last week was the big Royal Wedding event! To celebrate this I hosted a small party for some of my mommy friends and their little ones. I knew right away that I wanted to dive into baking some cute wedding cookies and then on to the bride and groom cake pops! As per our two pregnant friends request I also made more of my Oreo chocolate cream cupcakes. Fun was had by all and the kids were full of sugar by the time they left. Good times!

One last Easter Post
So I have had many Easter orders and just couldn't compile them into one big post so they have been broken up a little. I had a last minute order for some Easter inspired cake pops and had alot of fun decorating them. Also brought some little Easter Bunny cupcakes to our son's school for their Easter party. The little cupcake bunny wraps are courtesy of Skiptomylou.org. I will have to come back and update that information. Well here are the last of the Easter treats as today is Easter and it is time to move on. Next up Royal Wedding fever!!

Twin Birthday!
So our dear sweet little friends Maddie and Kohl turned one this week and to celebrate their parents who are also our dear sweet friends threw them a super cute Noah's Ark party. In lew of gifts we were all to bring a dish to share kind of like a potluck party. I of course immediately signed up for the desserts. I got an idea to do some funky Noah's Ark cookies in pink and green since our sweet twins are a brother and sister as well as a monogrammed chocolate sugar cookie. Of course I couldn't leave it at cookies alone and whipped up some strawberry shortcake cupcakes filled with homemade strawberry jam and then some oreo cream cupcakes made with fresh cream. I tried my hand at making my own cupcake toppers and think they turned out ok for my first time. Happy Birthday again to Maddie and Kohl!!

A little Curious!
This weekend we helped our friends three little boys celebrate their 3rd and 5th birthdays with a Curious George/ Monkey party. I offered to help them decorate by making the birthday banner and centerpieces as well as these little Mod Monkey cookies. They had such a great time and the children were carrying the cookies around with them like a prized treasure. So happy to be a part of their special day!!
