Firetruck Party Extravaganza!

This Sunday we celebrated our little boys turning 5 and 3 years old with a big Firetruck celebration! I designed an entire sweets table just for them and 23 of there best friends! We started the party off with a trip to our local firestation for a tour and then headed back to our house for lunch and treats! Lots of fun was had by all and many wonderful memories were made! Everything from the party was DIY by yours truly! Even the cake which I made and then decorated with sugar cookies. Enjoy!!!
Each child had a thank you dalmation cookie bone in their goodie bags!

This is the sweets table I put together. Lots of goodies made by yours truly!

My first experience into cake making and decorating! I used sugar cookies for the decorations.

Nautical baby shower

Well hello there! Lots of post all at once for this busy mom of two! Gotta do it when I get a minute of peace! As you can see by the gaps in my posting there are not too many of those moments! This week I  worked on a nautical themed baby shower for a little boy due in August. I made chocolate fudge cake pops and sailboat cookies for favors. Enjoy!

Bumble Bee Baby Shower

This weekend my friend Jessica and I hosted a baby shower for our friend Roxann and her soon to be little baby boy Connor! We choose a bumble bee theme and ran with it. I made lemon chiffon cupcakes and bumble bee cookies for this shower. Fun was had by all and lots of love sent to baby Connor! Enjoy!

Princess Party!

This week was all about the Princess from the movie Tangled. This was a special batch of cookies made for a sweet little Princess Katie. This was also the first adventure with my KopyCake projector. These little goodies were inspired by Ali Bee. Enjoy!

Hungry Caterpillar party

This weekend I had an order for a party for a sweet little girls first birthday. Her party was centered around the book The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I was asked to make strawberry shortcake cupcakes with a chocolate butterfly resembling the one in the book. I also made fruit shaped cookies for the children to take home as goodies. The was a fun project and I think it turned out nicely. As you can see though I forgot to thake pictures before I wrapped the cookies in the cellophane bags! Woops! Enjoy!

Little Guy in a Tie Surprise Baby Shower

This weekend I held a surprise shower for my dear friend Corey. She and her husband Duncan have two very sweet little girls and are now welcoming there first little boy Brady. I had heard that she thought since she already had two children that maybe she shouldn't have a shower. I knew how to fix that quickly! It would have to be a surprise and a good one! After speaking with her husband and getting him to conspire with me the party was on. We had to have the party at a restaurant because the mommy to be goes to brunch every Sunday with her family and it was the perfect plan to pull off the surprise. So off to Mimi's Cafe we went! I choose a theme of Little Guy in a Tie and just ran with the color scheme. There were bow tie and neck tie cookies as well as baby onsie cookies with a tie on them as favors. I put little mustaches in the flower arrangements and even made several ribbon topiaries for the sweets table. We had a wonderful time and Corey was truly surprised. It was such a great day and we all can't wait to meet baby Brady!!
