First batch of Easter Cookies!

This week I started working on lots of Easter cookies and deciding what I would like them to look like. There is so much you can do with these cute little cookies, so I had to make several batches and still don't think I am done! I just can't help myself it is so much fun seeing what else can be done with the little bunnies and eggs and chicks and on and on! So here are some pictures of the first few batches and like I said there will be more to come! The first day I was in a pink mood so lots of pink. Enjoy!!

First Client Order!!

So my little bakery received its first official client order!! Two dozen chocolate peanut butter cupcakes. I was so excited that I made an extra batch and sent them with a friend to take to work so that she could get some feedback for me before I sent them off. A few hours after sending them off I got a wonderful email filled with great feedback!! Its always so nice to hear that the product you work so hard on is enjoyed by others! Here are a few pics of the yummy little guys!

Cupcakes from the past

Well I thought I would post a few of my favorite cupcakes from this past year. They were so yummy I didn't want to leave them out! This summer I had surgery and thought what better way to insure good care then with a few sunflower chocolate cupcakes to butter up the nurses! They were a hit and were gone in minutes! Next up are the pumpkin chiffon cupcakes I made for our friends annual pumpkin fest party. This party includes a cooking competition where pumpkin or squash must be used in the recipe. These sweet little pumpkins won first place in the dessert category!! Enjoy!

Animal cupcakes

I thought I would share a few little animal inspired cupcakes that I made last summer for our oldest son's 4th birthday. He asked for a jungle themed bowling party so that is exactly what we did. We decided on an alligator cupcake cake and a lion cupcake since those are two of his favorites. Fun was had by all and there was not one cupcake left!

Valentine's Catch up!

Well since I just started this blog I didn't get a chance to post my Vanlentine's goodies and didn't want them to be left out! My first real attempt at marbeling went very well if I do say so myself!
First little heart is kind of blobby but the ones after turned out great! And the icing is lemon flavored which made it even better!!

St. Patricks Day

Rainbow sugar cookie!
Thanks to blogger sweetsugarbelle for the inspiration for this cookie.
This week we celebrated St. Patrick's Day at my son's school. What better way to celebrate then with a few sweet treats!
Lemon flavored cake pops. Dyed green of course!

Welcome!

So welcome to my new blog that will be my own little showcase of all the cookies, cake pops and cupcakes that I have made and will be making. This blog business is all new to me so bare with me as I figure it all out. I have loved all things crafty, including baking for as long as I can remember and with much encouragement finally decided to begin selling my little pieces of art! I must give my sister Joy props for naming Sweet Expectations. After many weeks of going back and forth, she suggested it to me and it just felt like a perfect fit! I would also like to thank the wonderful and talented Roxanne Morin of Morin Design for the graphic design for Sweet Expectations! I hope you enjoy taking a look at all of the different little creations. I will soon have all of my information up on the blog for ordering and pricing but for now feel free to email me at bergherm@hotmail.com. Thanks for stopping by!!
