Its that time again!! Its birthday party time for our boys! This year we decided to go all out and plan a carnival party full of games and prizes and fun! This week was all about pink and butterfly's. I had the pleasure this week of helping host a wonderfully sweet baby shower for a great friend who will be welcoming a baby girl in the next fews months. She loves butterflys and the nursery is full of them so we thought it was the perfect theme for the shower. I had such a great time creating all of the different treats for the party! Enjoy!!

Well as you can see the world of fondant has taken over the bakery!!! Loved this order and it was so much fun to make for a sweet little girl turning 2 who loves balloons!! Enjoy!

Fondant everywhere!

So I said many many times when I first started out in the bakery world that I did not want to work to much with fondant. Well now I guess I can officially take that back! I got an order for the end of this month for a two tiered fondant cake from a wonderful and loyal customer. I did say that it wasn't my specialty however she said she has full confidence in me and continued with the order! I figured I better brush up on my fondant skills and decided to put together a little birthday cake for a sweet little friend of ourse who was turning 5. I thought I would start with some polka dots and a large bright pink bow!! What girl doesn't love polka dots and bows right?!! Enjoy!!

The flavor was orange creamsicle and it was a hit!

Cookie topper for the cake.

This week was all about a fun little cake for a sweet little 3 year old! I got an email from the grandma who we are family friends with who had bought some plates that she would like to have a cake designed around.  I thought that was a great idea and so it began! I loved making this cake and think it turned out really well. The cupcake topper is strawberry cream as well as the bottom layer and the top cake layer is triple chocolate per grandma! Enjoy!!

More little guy in a tie!

I so love this theme and was happy to whip up some little guy in a tie cookies for a lovely customer all the way in Las Vegas!! I decided I wanted to paint again since I loved the effect so much the last time and I think they turned out super cute! Enjoy!

As you can see from the exclamation mark on my tittle for this entry I am very excited about this little treat! My first painted cookie! Thats right all hand painted and they are headed to the band All Star Weekend this Thursday night! I loved the technique and think I will be doing alot more of it in the future! Enjoy!!

Valentines 2012

Thought I would get a jump start on Valentines this year and thanks to some creative ideas from my 5 year old here is what we came up with! Enjoy!!

Rosette Cake

A few weeks ago I finally got a chance to go and visit a dear friend who has recently had triplets! Thats right I said triplets! I thought I would bring over some food and something sweet! I thought I would make something pretty that I hadn't done before with lots and lots of chocolate! So a triple chocolate rosette cake it was! No crumbs were left on the plate so I think the mommy was very happy!
